Unless Bossy is on a 10,000-mile 35-day Excellent Road Trip, there’s only one time a year you’ll find Bossy’s car willingly pulled into this drive-thru, and it has a little something to do with being up to one’s elbows in turkey brine and pie crusts. Although thankfully not at the same time.

November 26, 2008 at 10:06 amI try to eat a vegan diet, so fries and side salad are about all I can order at McD’s. Heard last night that McD’s fried their fries in beef tallow (don’t ask) for years. That’s just rich, McD’s, who else could make fries an ANIMAL PRODUCT??

November 26, 2008 at 1:33 pmWe only do it when we’re moving. Nothing like having your whole kitchen in boxes to make Mickey D’s sound good.

November 26, 2008 at 1:51 pmI like the tiny reflection of furry-wristed jacket and burnt orange glove.
Gigi, check into the Mickey-D french fry thing further. I heard that a long time ago, and I THINK they then changed the oil in response to public hubbub about it. Not sure though. Some say that’s why their fries aren’t as yummy now — no secret beefy flavor anymore.

November 26, 2008 at 4:25 pmI, on the other hand, knew that was a McDonald’s drive thru before I pressed.
Sad, I know.
I too would like to blame the children.

November 26, 2008 at 5:26 pmThat’s funny because the only time I ever even consider hitting up a fast food restaurant is when are on road trips. And then it fried foods all around!! Actually, to be honest, I consider it all the time. I just only follow through when on road trips.

November 26, 2008 at 9:52 pmI was born and rasied on Mickey D’s!! Literally. My dad started working for them when he was about 20 years old and worked his way through the ranks and bought his first franchise in the late 80’s. He now owns about 9 or so. I LOVE eating there..what choice do I have?? I was practically breast fed on the stuff 🙂 At least I will admit it…the others who love it seem to not be able to fess up in the comments! 🙂
