The other day which feels like the other year wrapped in some other decade, Bossy was in Southern California. Bossy was particularly excited about the hours she spent in Malibu, since it provided the perfect opportunity for Bossy to meet her husband, John Cusack.
And as luck would have it, as Bossy drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, she spied John Cusack’s house!
Thankfully Bossy had her Los Angeles council to distract her from the disappointment of not meeting her husband John Cusack. Included in the meet-up fun were Shayera, Smacksy, Bossy’s host Glennis, Suebob, Jason, Kelly, Heidi, Barbra, Jim, Jennifer, and the always dynamic Tootsie Farklepants, with a special shout-out to Flat Debbie and Bossy’s L.A. cameraman:
But before you could say John Cusack why are you making all these lousy movies? it was time for Bossy to go to bed and start out the next day toward San Francisco.

April 27, 2010 at 6:54 pmMaybe John Cusack is not in CA now. Maybe he is in Chicago where he spends a lot of time, especially during baseball season. Look for him when you are here. Look along the lakefront in the high rise condos or in the Gold Coast. Or at his sister’s house on the north side. Have you met Joan?

April 27, 2010 at 8:28 pmOh, didn’t we tell you? John is here in OHIO where Bossy’s (no) Book Tour is NOT.
Not that we are bitter or anything, but we are holding John for ransom or something like that. Oh, you mean you want John CUSACK? Not John K. my husband? Well, jeez, you marry one John, you have married them all! (Trust me on this, my friends who are married to Johns and I have talked about this at great length and we have decided it is true)

April 27, 2010 at 8:42 pmDelighted to be included in your LA council and participate in the No-Book/No-John Cusack Tour.
(When I join the circus may I use Glennis as a reference?)

April 28, 2010 at 12:16 amWait. Uh…Cameraman??? Is it too late for me to redecorate my entire house before Bossy gets to Oregon?
P.S. John Cusack’s not here, either.

April 28, 2010 at 12:17 amExcellent!! We all look fine! Too bad John wasn’t there! You sure he wasn’t belly-dancing?

April 28, 2010 at 2:03 amBossy! You were in my ‘hood! And it looks like you had a great time. I’m sorry you didn’t run into John C. I’ve had three John C. sightings, but all in Hollywood. In fact, one afternoon, I got stuck next to him in traffic, near the Hollywood Bowl. He smiled and waved…no lie. Of course, he was probably waving to snap me out of whatever slack-jawed-and-drooling spell I was under, or maybe he thought my car was overheating. Regardless, traffic started to move and our encounter was over. Next time I see him, I’ll send him your way. Have a safe trip! 🙂

April 28, 2010 at 10:39 amHilarious! If John Cusak read this, I’m sure he’d fall madly in love and track you down.
Peeved Michelle says
April 28, 2010 at 11:52 amIf only Peeved Michelle had been following Bossy’s blog prior to her trip. Peeved Michelle drives by John Cusack’s house (sort of…near-ish) every day on the way to work.
(If you follow @PeevedMichelle on Twitter, she might divulge this information in a DM.)

April 28, 2010 at 12:46 pmPretty sure Mr. Cusack is haunting Burger Kings and Seattle’s Best Coffee kiosks looking for his BOSSY. You’ll know him — he’ll be the one in the parking lot holding up a boom box.

You can bid on Johnny. Or, more precisely, a day on the set of his next movie.

April 28, 2010 at 6:38 pmDear chesapeake bay woman,
Remember to add the ubiquitous (in iambossy-land but apparently not in real life) John C to the Husband list. Or does it not count if he’s not actually spotted? Hasn’t ever slowed Bossy down before…
JCK says
April 28, 2010 at 11:35 pmJohn C has nothing on your husband.
It was a DELIGHT, per usual…to see you in our L.A. vicinity. Thanks for bringing such a great group together again.

May 3, 2010 at 2:50 pmDang. I was hoping to live vicariously through you to see some John Cusak. Maybe he hot tubbed back to the 80’s during the time you were in town. My dream is to be BFF’s with his sister Joan, because she is just that awesome.
