The truth is, for Bossy’s daughter, the first day of school is becoming rather old hat. This one took place yesterday, and marked her first day of eighth grade.
Thank goodness there’s still a school district in the nation that starts school in September, after Labor Day. My daughter went back to school on August 11th. Helloooo, that’s still summer in my book, plus it can be 105 degrees here in the Sacramento Valley. Bossy and Bossy’s daughter – 8th grade goes by really, really fast. High school next year?

September 8, 2010 at 8:49 amI feel like Bossy’s daughter should be older than 8th grade for some reason. She is an ancient and good soul.

September 8, 2010 at 4:20 pmAdorable girl, but I’m very excited by the flat, solid swing — I hate those floppy ones they’ve all been replaced with on playgrounds!
