Recently a friend of Bossy’s helped her switch out her hard drive for something more powerful. At least Bossy thinks that’s what happened. Yeah? Hard drive? Is that what’s going on here?
this is the very reason i abhor working on Apple portables. sure, they’re pretty, but they’re overly expensive for mediocre hardware and it’s a pain in the butt to work on ’em.
i had an old iBook – the first generation white plastic thing – and it took 37 screws just to get the hard drive out. thirty seven! i’ve never encountered another portable device that had so many screws. my Dell has about 25, and my HP has 20.
Do NOT let Apple see this picture! To them, this is like showing a heart surgeon a picture of your 15-year-old daughter doing heart transplant surgery on your grandmother on the kitche table.
