July 19, 2009 at 9:45 amHELLO, totally teary-eyed this morning, thanks a lot. Mine are 10.5 (almost, Aug 5 to be exact) and 11.75 (officially yesterday) and I am wide-eyed and slack-jawed watching them, trying desperately not to blink so they are still here for a little while. Waaaaaa
Happy Birthday Bossy’s Daughter!!

July 19, 2009 at 10:30 amHold on before we get all verklempt about years and their passing. Kids sprout fast and mature at ultra sonic speed from first day in high school to second year in college. You on the other hand have WAY so, so much more time and deeds to do and beauty to preserve. Oops, sorry Mr. Bossy, I just may have flirted with your wife there just a little.

July 20, 2009 at 10:31 amHAPPY BIRTHDAY, Bossy’s daughter!! What a sweet, touching post! I just love your blog. We called when our twin boys turned thirteen, “turning turdteen,” because they went from sweet to turds, but luckily, this does not seem to be the case for Bossy’s daughter. Our boys (now 16) sometimes give us a glimpse of their sunny sides again.

July 20, 2009 at 11:47 amwhy was i thinking The Great Getzby was younger? Here I was, thinking he was barely old enough for me to marry. Turns out, he’s practically an old man! I think we should have the wedding next week. 😉
oh, and, again, happy birthday Bossy’s Adorable Daughter!

July 20, 2009 at 11:55 amThe thing about Bossy’s family photos (to which I keep returning for my heart-cockle-warming fixes) is that they don’t just capture the faces, they capture the love! It’s palpable, Bossy, and there’s no way to fool with that in Photoshop. Poverty Parties aside, you be one lucky family 🙂

July 21, 2009 at 10:21 amI was so busy failing at celebrating my son’s 13th birthday on the 18th that I forgot Daughter of Bossy was turning 13 also. I hope she had a better birthday than my son, who had to make his own cake. I was too busy crying at the loss of my baby to puberty.
