After scrambling eggs, add salted water to the frying pan for easy cleanup. At least that’s what the Farmer’s Almanac suggests. Some of us wouldn’t have first-hand experience, because some of us are cleansing our colons and can’t eat eggs.
Unless of course some of us go on a little day trip to Manhattan in the middle of our detox diet, and decide to give in to the Tall Mocha Latte and the Italian baguette and the melted Gruyere and the Asian cream puffs and the street hotdog and the mashed sweet potatoes served alongside the pulled pork. Oh, and the beef jerky in the car on the way up.
But some of us wake up with remorse and decide to throw the Green Tea bag into boiling water and try again. Even though some of us think beyond any doubt that the best way to clean up an egg-encrusted pan is to first fry a slab of bacon and then use that grease for the egg. But that’s just some of us.
