The first exciting weekend thing happened on Friday morning, when Bossy and her friend Martha took a long walk through the pounding snow:
Bossy and her friend Martha couldn’t get over the enormous flakes, and how the snow hung thick and magical from tree limbs and utility lines, like a Dr. Seuss illustration:
Bossy and her friend Martha walked in the middle of the quiet snowy streets to the nearest major intersection so they could warm themselves in a Starbucks coffee bath.
And then Bossy’s friend Martha pointed out that whenever Bossy drinks her icy Orange Mango Banana Vivanno, a rectangular section of Bossy’s bottom lip turns blue! Silly Bossy! Silly Martha!
And then on Sunday, Bossy thoroughly cleaned her living room and dining room in preparation for the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner she is hosting.

🙂 happy day to you!

November 24, 2008 at 11:54 amWalking – good (saves gas); supervising hubby’s cleaning – good (saves energy); but an ORANGE MANGO BANANA VIVANNO SMOOTHIE FROM STARBUCKS! – oh no! has Bossy fallen off the poverty wagon?! is that what caused the drinking binge?! 😉

November 24, 2008 at 12:05 pmMy weekend consisted of workworkworkwork. Does Bossy’s husband hire himself out?

November 24, 2008 at 12:24 pmDang, Bossy, your photos inspire me to not take pictures also. Your non-photography skills are AWESOME.

November 24, 2008 at 12:25 pmCould BOSSY’S husband come to my house? I would cover the cost of airfare.
Snow? Lucky.
Note to Nikon: give BOSSY that camera. The quality of her recent photos has inspired me to buy several for family members this Christmas and I have a big family. BOSSY has that kind of power.

November 24, 2008 at 12:48 pmSorta wish Thanksgiving was at our house because–hello! leftovers!!), but I don’t want to deal with the young nephew who only eats All White Foods, nor the father of the nephew who thinks his son is simply brilliant and that you’re the one with the problem. There’s always alcohol for dessert.

November 24, 2008 at 12:48 pmHow can Bossy’s Poverty Party afford an OMBVS when Bossy’s Smart Son is coming home for Thanksgiving Weekend and will require mass quantities of homecooked meals….and not just the beans in the cupboard?

November 24, 2008 at 1:51 pm1. re: no leftovers: Apathy Lounge, I feel your pain. That’s why I make a much-smaller duplicate Thanksgiving meal (but with our favorite foods ONLY) on Friday or Saturday. Gotta have leftover gravy et al.
2. Bossy, I’m pissed at you. Protecting the Nikon from snow is no excuse for no photo record. There are such things as Plastic Bags to carry it in, and Overhangs to stand under while shooting beautiful shots of snow that evokes words like magical, enormous, thick, and Dr. Seuss. I won’t see snow til January if then.
3. Somebody, is there a 12 step program for addiction to Bossy’s photos? And a coping mechanism when denied same?
4. Boy do I sound surly today. sorry. I’ll go get me an OMBVS and lighten up.

November 25, 2008 at 1:12 amWow, if I’d thought I could get away with that I would totally have my own blog. I hate taking photos of my own life (well, OK, and viewing photos of other people’s dogs), which always kept me from blogging. Probably that’s a blessing for the rest of the world, but now I have to get my writing energy out in comments, so maybe not.
