Thank you all for your support and your dedication. Like my wife here. She smiles at me like I am the most interesting person in the universe and not some twisted war monger who talks as though I’m incapable of fully exhaling. Thanks for that honey. Anyway. The Connecticut primary winner is Democrat Ned Lamont, but it’s not over. Oh no. Let me tell you where we are in this race for the Connecticut senate seat. I’m a war sports fan so I’m gonna use a sports comparison: As I see it, in this campaign, it’s the fourth quarter of the football game. You know – the part where the team guys head back into the locker room through that tunnely thing? The clock has run out and reads 0:00. The fans are spilling into the parking lot and the stadium is empty except for that guy sweeping and that one over there sleeping under his newspaper. But in the next part of the game I have a chance. The part of the game where I slip down into the subway station and try to crawl under the turnstile. Because you see, if the people of Connecticut are good enough to send me back to Washington as an Independent Democrat Republican, then I promise I will keep blowing all my fine friends across the aisle. Anything for the good people of Connecticut.
