I drove past the pedestrian underpass that leads the elementary school this morning, and it was surrounded by emergency personnel. That sucker was FULL TO THE BRIM with rainwater. Never seen anything like it.
Wow! DGM and Websavymom had some funny comments above. I was going to say, “Have you learned to walk on water yet?” “Over my Head” by the Fray: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFRkpvvop3I
Tiger needs a shovel to dig himself out of the mess he has made……………….your yard will drain and in the Spring come back more beautiful than ever.
Tger……………not so much!
We caught sight of Noah this morning at the University. Floating along on one of our parking lots. By noon we had clear skies and the sun warmed it up to the 50s! Oy, Jersey
Got oar? Don’t you mean Ark?
It’s only up to your ankles. Tiger’s in over his head.
Do you have water in your basement?
Oy! Talk about a drainage problem.
–>Quickly, gather the Stella’s two by two.
(DGM’s comment earlier made me LAUGH.)
You’re gonna need a bigger boat.
Wow! That’s some lakefront property you always didn’t want!
Misery Olympics !! How about this from my old neck of the woods?

Get out the hip-waders!
Bit late in the season to stock the pond with trout, I suspect.

Yikes! We’re getting the same storm in the form of snow right now (in Maine). It’s coming fast and furious. Stay dry!
WOW, you need some serious drainage in that yard.
That is one serious water feature.
Wow! I hate to tell you, but in Kansas it’s like 10 degrees and that’s headed your way. Got skates?

Well, at least it looks beautiful to mee, lake property, right!
Hopenhagen might be about to fix the flooding issue along with some others.
Or maybe some day you can see Alaska from your house?
Ricky Lake came to visit? Maybe we can get a two for one sale on french drains and waders.
Quaaaaaack!
Surf’s up dude!!!
The mushrooms are going to be so happy!
Looks just like mine!
Oh wow! That’s crazy! My backyard’s full of 6 foot tall snowdrifts. I’m not sure which is worse – how do you deal with that much water?
As a dog owner, my first thought was “poor Stella!”
Wow… that looks serious. Sending super-absorbent vibes.
Oh YIKES!!
DUDE. Are you okay? *virtual backhoe and drainage ditch*
Mmmmm …. looks to me like red wine and a Slanket weather.
Looks positively tidal!
I was thinking about your basement too! The water doesn’t stand around our house but in heavy downpours we get trickles coming in, ick.
Ruh-roh!
French Drains!!! A good project for you and hubby this summer and next wet season, you’ll have a dry yard.
Good thing Stella has those long legs. (And you too, for that matter…)
Darn it all Bossy – can you send some of that stuff our way? We are PARCHED…

BB
Where’s the white cat(s) in all that wetness? Safe in Stella’s bed, perchance?
French drains, quick
Today was the kind of morning where I wished my dog would of just did her business in the house.
Can you tell me what a french drain is and how it works
I guess I wont complain about the whoppin 1/16th of an inch we got the other day here in Phoenix..Nobody can drive in THAT here!
Pretty soon your posse will need to start working on an ark.

“Here comes the rain again, falling”
While doing my parental duty in the carpool yesterday, the discussion in the back was about where Noah’s Ark was actually located.
I think it is headed to your neighborhood.
Welcome to Lake Bossy, soon to be Bossy Ice Hockey Stadium. Oy.
Dear Rain,
Please stop attacking Bossy’s house.
Love,
Bossy’s Friends.
Hope you have some super tall super cute rain boots to wade in that mess.
