Last week Bossy’s daughter traveled with her British host family, who used to live next door to the Bossy family, to Portugal. Here she is beachside with the daughter of the household, who is Bossy’s daughter’s age. They were best friends when they were four and five-years-old, and it seems as though they have picked up right where they left off.

Why can’t I have former neighbors like that? My old neighbors moved to a hog farm. Well, not really…but, it does SMELL like hogs.
Oh to be young, sitting on a beach in a cute 2 piece with a book in hand…. sigh…. I remember those days…..
Cute as ever!
What did you do this Summer?
Oh, you know, the usual, England, Portugal…nothing major
No matter how much I squint I can’t make out what they are reading. Yes it’s me: I AM NOSY.
Awwwww Yay! Wait..jealous….No, Happy! Yay! (Am also squinting to try to see books BossysMom!)
Bossy’s Mom, this is my best guess (with lotsa squinting and putting computer screen right up to face) of one of the books:
A Hollywood Ending Robyn Sisman
She will nevah evah be happy with Wildwood again…the Brits just always do it with such style….
Looks like she’s havin’ a good time
I’m sure that’s not a real tattoo on Friend’s right ankle? it much be one of those stretchy anklets that looks like a tattoo. I too am squinting at the screen.
Lucky lucky Bossys Daughter! how fun.
Bossy’s Mom-
Victoria is correct, 1 of the books is A Hollywood Ending, by Robyn Sisman, and then the other book is Chinese Cinderella, by Adeline Yen Mah. And to Mo- That his Friend’s henna! Friend and Bossy’s Daughter both got one, except that Bossy’s Daughter’s is a flower on her right ankle, not a bracelet design.
Indeed it is a henna tattoo, however a week of sea and chlorine have enforced Bossy’s Daughter and Friend, just this morning, to get a bit creative with a ball point pen!!
