These tennis courts, which are adjacent to a rolling field in Oz Bossy’s neighborhood.
For the most part these six courts sit unused. Except last night, when Bossy and her husband showed up with some yard sale tennis rackets, and for a solid hour did their impression of Serena Williams and Roger Federer, as played by the Marx Brothers.
Or is it, “yard-sale tennis racquets“? I can never remember.
What kind of lens did you use here?
Hey!
I thought it was Bjorn Borg!

–>I thought Bossy was going to say hit balls for Bossy’s Great Dane to chase. Good for you and Bossy’s husband!

I think the tennis last night contributed more to the lack of sleep (see main post) than the rain! All that new and exciting exercise, the muscles were twitching in response, all night long!
I love tennis!
Sadly, my husband is a very good tennis player, so I’m not able to play my Marx-ian game without frustration and irritation….. Too bad. And those courts look nice!
Photo has that hand-tinted look from days of yore.
A solid hour of Marx Brothers shtik? You guys rock. And I hear some tennis may have been involved, too — cool.
I would totally watch that tennis match!
I LOVE the Marx Brothers! Where’s the video of Bossyo and Hubbyo?
BH, I would vote for Jimmy Connors, in his Chris Everett days.
I adore Roger. And Andre Agassi. Was he there too? How about Steffi Graf? Would have thought Bossy was built more along the Steffi lines than the Serena lines…
Just sayin’

I was brought up by a mother who doesn’t think the Marx brothers are funny.
My sisters and I used to do that on the tennis courts at the high school across the street from my dad’s house. We would only go to play when there was no one on ANY of the three courts, though, because we were so terrible that we would hit the balls into the other courts by accident, and then we’d just switch courts rather than run all over creation trying to corral them. So, long story short, if you ever want a tennis partner whose Marx sister’s butt you can kick, give me a call.
