Hi. Bossy’s daughter here to give you another update on how it’s going back at the messiest house of the century Casa de Bossy. Bossy’s Daughter has been really busy going to school and rehearsing for two plays at the local community theater.
For example this past weekend: after staying up too late on Friday night, Bossy’s Daughter had a morning rehearsal for one of the plays, a musical called Thoroughly Modern Millie. Waking up at 8:00 a.m. Bossy’s daughter trips down the stairs in her pajamas and enjoys a breakfast of sweet syrupy waffles eggs. After getting dressed in her cute dancing shorts and Columbia t-shirt, Bossy’s Daughter fumbles out the door and into the bright sunshine wearing her professional dance shoes:
After what feels like two hours of driving five blocks, Bossy’s Daughter arrives at the local theater:
On the way upstairs she meets her two friends:
And then for about three and a half hours Bossy’s Daughter gets directed by this guy:
And then Bossy’s daughter sneaks photos of the stars of the play, plus the beloved producer in the center:
At 12:30 Bossy’s Daughter gets cheerfully greeted by Bossy’s Husband who loves to spend his Saturday picking up and dropping off kids:
Then Bossy’s Husband drags Bossy’s Daughter to the local grocery store…
…when all Bossy’s Daughter really wants to be doing is this:
It’s not until after they get home and eat a good lunch of a hoagie, a pickle, and strawberries, when Bossy’s Daughter can finally finally do this:

April 21, 2008 at 3:07 pmHi Bossy’s Daughter!
My son loves doing plays too. Right now he is in Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” as Touchstone and in June he is in a musical. Have a lot of fun working on the plays, I bet you will be wonderful!

April 21, 2008 at 9:45 pmBossy’s Daughter must be missing her serenely-cool Mom. But clearly, Bossy’s Daughter has the wickedly insightful gene, and seems to be managing just fine.
Well done. Care to add babysitting some twins to the list of to-do’s? You’re awfully charming.
Velveteen Mind - Megan says
April 21, 2008 at 9:53 pmBOSSY’s Daughter! I could hang out with you all day, particularly if you are such a fan of naps.
Take as many as you can now, because little kids hanging off of you all day make it really hard to take naps on the couch when you get older.
As in, a lot older. Don’t have kids until you are a lot older. Like, maybe, 45. Until then, take naps.
Beth says
April 21, 2008 at 9:59 pmBossy’s daughter is as funny as her mom. Oh, and I love your green flipflops! And your dad’s expression. Classic!
Good luck with your show! I know you must be excited your mom is coming home soon.
We had fun with her in Atlanta!

April 21, 2008 at 10:00 pmWhoa whoa whoa, Lootiatto, I’d like to know just exactly what feckin brother she has to “put up with.”
Try “contain her enthusiasm for”; now we’re getting away from that silly season of blog-commenting…

April 22, 2008 at 7:40 amDear Bossy’s Daughter: excellent job! Maybe you will grow up to be a blogger like your mother! Then you too can cavort around the country while your daughter with the excellent work ethic remains at home where she has to hold down the fort while maintaining a rigorous rehearsal schedule and by the way? Who is this irresponsible mother of yours, and when will Social Services arrive to arrest her?

April 22, 2008 at 10:26 amnice post. i love the pictures. i have never let my kids guest post on my blog, but they are often the topic of blog posts. tell me, bossy’s daughter, is that a problem? how do kids feel about being the topic of blog posts? you look like a smart kid. you’ll know the answer to that!
JoeInVegas says
April 22, 2008 at 10:32 amWow – Bossy has the whole family trained in the proper methods of posting – just need to get daughter to put circles and arrows on the pictures, but the wording sure sounds like son and mom. And having dad drive you five blocks? That’s what feet are for.
Thanks for the post!

April 22, 2008 at 1:28 pmThoroughly Modern Millie is the best movie ever! I’m definately going to have to make it out of the city limits to see the performance. Thanks for the heads up Bossy’s Daughter!

April 22, 2008 at 3:48 pmI heart Bossy’s daughter. AG will come to see your plays. I can probably Google them and find out when they are. Don’t worry. AG’s cool. She won’t be all, “So I totally know that kid and she’s Internet awesome.” AG will just go, clap and support the event financially.
P.S. Daddy looks mad. I think Mommy needs to come back ASAP!!
P.P.S. Did you go with Bossy Husband to vote yet? He can take you, but you and Bossy Son will have to fight because only 1 child is permitted in the booth with a parent. Those are state laws. I know!!
