This graph was taken from a Web information company called Alexa.com and Bossy has a love/hate relationship with it. No doubt Alexa is a great tool for bloggers, because it has a wider scope than something like Technorati, and Alexa is used by actual corporations to judge (among other things) the revenue potential of websites.
Alexa has a directory and blah blah blah, but mainly Bossy uses it for Blog Traffic Rankings. You can enter your blog’s URL (but be mindful, they don’t want http and all that: in Bossy’s case she enters iambossy.com) and see graphs of your reach and rank and page views over a 3-month period.
And then, like the above image, you can compare other blogs to your blog — which from everything Bossy has heard is sort of like the first hit from a crack pipe and here is why it is similar:
1. It is totally addictive from the first second
2. The results make you crash and wish you never lived.
Similar to the individual blog ranking, you can push various buttons within the graph to compare the reach and rank and page views of various blogs at the same time.
Just go to the Traffic Rankings page, enter a URL, and push Get Traffic Details to begin.
Have fun, and see you in Rehab.
