Life in Casper Wyoming isn’t that swell for Bert. Although she enjoys a few drinks and giggles with Walt and Bud and Mickey on the weekends, the rest of the time leaves her wondering where in hell she is and why.
As their second winter sets in and the holidays approach, the family, along with Bud and Mickey and their children, pile in the car and make the 1,900-mile drive back to Camden New Jersey.
Walt and Bert and Dondi stay with Bert’s sister Jenny, the comical redhead, doing comical New Jersey Christmas things. And while those antics are entertaining, Bert doesn’t exactly identify the scene as home.
She is without a country.
