I can’t believe your daughter was wearing shorts. I think you live kind of near me, but I have certainly not yet experienced shorts weather.
I have to say, though, I like the combo of shorts and winter boots. Except only long-legged, skinny young things like your daughter could pull it off. I am none of those things any longer.
I wear shorts with boots when I walk JJ too….in my dreams.
Stella seems to know her way around the hood…that’s a good thing so Bossy’s daughter doesn’t get lost.
Are you sure you’re not from Canada? Because the whole shorts, uggs, down-filled vest combo is practically a uniform for Canadian girls at the beginning of spring. The shorts show our undying hope that yes, winter well end…eventually.
Bossy’s daughter looks just like my mailman. Boots and shorts in the middle of winter! What brave souls. I won’t wear shorts in public anymore.
My sister’s dog was a boxer and I always called him Scooby Doo’s brother Sniffy Doo.
At first I thought “How cute! Bossy’s daughter is wearing shorts with tights and Uggs to keep warm!”
Then I realized those weren’t white tights. Those were white legs. And I felt a little ashamed of myself for giggling that someone else has pale legs like me.
You have to have legs like that to have a Great Dane, don’t you? I guess that’s why I’m doomed to have miniature poodles and goldendoodles – all of whom have good sized haunches… *sigh.
My gosh – but your girl’s legs are long! And it cracks me up that she’s wearing shorts with her boots, scarf, long shirt and vest. 🙂 Oh, to have the metabolism of a tween again! 🙂
Me three on thinking those bare legs were wearing tights at first…brrrrrrr!!
Stella’s looking a wee bit perturbed at you in the second-to-last shot…maybe cause you said it was time to go home…then tries to drag you all back downtown in the last shot. Dogs are so funny.
If I had legs like Bossy’s daughter, I would wear shorts every day of my life. (Heck, I would wear shorts daily if I had Stella’s legs, although I would only want two of them.)
I am so proud of your dane. She is a superb walker. My tiny mother lives by herself and has a 170 lb great dane that pulls my mom everywhere. She needs to learn a few things from your Stella.
Oh how I adore Danes… even when they ‘tow’ … has Bossy’s daughter considered rollerblades? Kinda like waterskiing but with Stella as the motorboat, the pavement as the river, and the blades as the skis? Now THAT would be worth a series of photos…
Our Cozzie was taught to ‘heel’ from a very early age… not that he wanted to. He was BUSTING to lead, but was such a good boy that 95% of the time, he stuck to his position at my side. The other 5% wasn’t pretty. Not pretty at all….
🙂

Wait….pajama pants girl swapped for pajama boxer shorts?
I love it.
I’ve got myself some pretty long legs and my dogs have two inch legs…no pet owner likeness like yours have.
I work with a girl who has three Great Danes. (THREE!)
Holy Crap!
Sadly, I have learned that I can never have a great Dane because I cannot accomplish step 1 of walking a great dane: grow impossibly long and elegant legs.
