In Bossy’s region, it’s been raining continuously for 40 days and 40 nights, and so Bossy petitioned for a spot on Noah’s Ark and was contemplating who she would bring along as Man.
But then today, this. Sun, dappled through trees and cast across dewy yards, and it made Bossy understand why those Liverpudlian types were inspired to write Here Comes The Sun.

I was thinking Hugh Jackman would be the MAN on my ark.

And I have to second Maria – who’s on the list?

May 8, 2009 at 9:50 amDon’t be fooled Bossy! We had 12 straight days of rain and less than 24 hours (HOURS) of sunshine (and that included night when obviously the sun didn’t shine) and woke up to a huge thunderstorm and a weekend o’ rain.
Dh is plotting which cat to leave behind when we build our ark. We only need two, so one must go

May 8, 2009 at 2:18 pmIn Liverpool the sun never shines so yeah, I can forgive them for that. Pretty photo, Bossy!

May 8, 2009 at 2:41 pmTell me about it! My daughter actually complained about the sun in her eyes this morning. I was all, “Child. Don’t make me have to hurt you.”

May 8, 2009 at 3:01 pmI can attest to the short-lived nature of that fickle sun this spring season. We have much more rain time than shine time going on where I live. I hate to burst your bubble, but I bet you have rain again before the day is over.

May 8, 2009 at 3:44 pmThis has been my week/day, too. Except I don’t take such beautiful pictures of it~sigh.

May 8, 2009 at 10:00 pmOne of my lifelong battles has been — which is more magical? Still morning-ness, mysterious dusk-ness or the sheen of first sun after rain-ness. Your photo definitely puts first sun ahead of the others–so pretty.

May 8, 2009 at 11:33 pmOh Lord Bossy, is anyone ever happy? Im down south and it was 92 degrees today. Its like the seasons had a WWF smackdown and spring got tossed out of the ring: now it’s summer till November. That’s it: I promise not to whine any more.
