Welcome to Bossy’s Ear Worm, which features songs currently in Bossy’s headphones. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
Santigold, L.E.S. Artistes.
This must be Bossy’s lucky week, to meet two new favorite songs like she has. Bossy already posted about her first new favorite song of the week. And this song by Santigold is her second new favorite song of the week.
This song is from the aptly named 2008 record Santogold — and about that: Santogold, from Bossy’s hometown, had to alter the spelling of her name due to a conflict with a jeweler of a similar name if you can even bah-lieve. So now she’s Santigold.
The point is, Bossy already unwittingly heard a couple of the songs on this record, but she didn’t really pay attention until Bossy fell on one of those quirky Youtube videos that are incessantly passed around, like the Charlie that hurt and it’s still hurting video.
In the case of Santigold, it was this video of a guy who starts his own dance party. Bossy became addicted to the infectious tune in the background and the rest is history, where history equals Bossy made her friend burn her a copy of his Santigold CD and now he is a felon.
The end.

K. I’m better now.
I really like this song! And almost all the other ones you’ve posted. You should do more ear worms. You are definitely in the top 3 on my list of “sources for music discovery.”
