It’s a dark rainy day here at Camp Bossy, and the distant thunderstorms are drawing closer to Bossy’s computer — so Bossy is going to make this short and sweet minus the sweet, and then scurry offline.
And no this abbreviated post has nothing to do with the fact Bossy digested her own brain after the first twenty-four hours without sugar and wine so quit asking.
Yesterday Bossy told you about her Poverty Party over the weekend. Well, instead, let’s pretend it’s a virtual potluck, and you’re all invited.
Which is what today’s Ten-Word Challenge is all about. In exactly ten words, can you tell Bossy what virtual food and drink you’re bringing?
And be sure to check back later today for the foodiest drink comments on the web — and lots of ideas about what to take to your next summer potluck.

Additionaly she will bring a roaster full of Best Baked Beans EVVVARRR because that is what everyone exclaims when they take their first bite! And I won’t forget the garden macaroni salad that is dressed with a sweet and sour apple cider vinegar dressing and not the old tired mayonaise dressing–just to shake things up. For dessert I wil bring a 7 layer toasted cocnut cake with a lime cream lightly between the layers. This is what I served several years ago at a backyard get-to-gether and holy moly people are still talking about it. Delicious. Can you tell I have a serious problem with needing to please people? I love to cook and reinvent recipes and try it out on all my friends. Will be moving into a new home in one week and in July I plan on having an open house—come if you our anywhere near Sand Springs, OK and want to attend a feast.

June 10, 2009 at 10:03 amThis will not be limited to 10 words but I had to share. I had a party too on Saturday. I supplied the alcohol but everyone had to bring an appetizer or a dessert. Talk about leftovers; I haven’t cooked yet! Anyway, I live in a twin and I know so many people who are intimidated to throw parties at their houses if they’re not McMansions with two dishwashers and three ovens. I admire Bossy for entertaining as much as she does and not letting size be an issue. Life is too short to put off hosting that party until the house is expanded or the kitchen is redone, blah blah blah. To make a long comment even longer, thank gah someone else besides me doesn’t let her house stand in the way of a good party.
