This intersection.
Practically every day for the last few years, Bossy and her friend Martha have uttered at least one sentence which includes, “Meet you at the corner!”
Meet you at the corner, meet you at the corner, meet you at the corner — Bossy and her friend Martha are lucky to live 100 paces from each other, and yes Bossy has counted, a compulsive habit Bossy inherited from her father.
But anyway, Meet you at the corner refers to this intersection, midway between their two houses.

June 10, 2009 at 8:16 amGreat idea to remember it with a photo. So often we don’t shoot the everyday things that truly make up our lives. Thanks for the reminder.

June 10, 2009 at 8:56 amSweet! Nothing beats close friends. Mine have to drive, but it’s not far in a town of 35,000 and I am very thankful they are this close!

June 10, 2009 at 9:52 amDoes Martha run with you? There is nothing better than a running partner. Many of life’s problems can be hashed out on a run.

June 10, 2009 at 11:43 amWhich reminds me of that J.D. Salinger short story wherein the little boy repeatedly tells the protagonist a joke, the punchline of which is “Meetcha at the corner!”

June 10, 2009 at 11:57 amOMG it’s so greeeeeeeen! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a corner so green. But, I live in Southern(ish) California and we don’t have green corners like that. Our corners have, at this moment, purple flowering jacaranda trees, flowering bougainvilleas, succulents, rosemary, lavender, etc. Never the lush greenery like you have. Wow.

June 10, 2009 at 1:01 pmThat one ALMOST beats the other corner, just a few hundred feet away, where a young kid and his best friend walked each other halfway home for endless nights….

June 10, 2009 at 1:19 pmThat corner is impossibly beautiful. All of my corners are close to half a mile away and consist of dead wild oats, star thistle and ground squirrels.

June 10, 2009 at 5:19 pmBossy, You are so lucky. I have a Martha in my life but she is 1000 miles away.
p.s I wrote about you on 3limes. You should come over and take a look. It won’t tax your poor hungry brain too much.
