OMG – Axel is totally at this stage now. Jowls on lap, jowls on desk, jowls on outdoor table… think my father is going to have a complete coronary when it happens on the dining table… which is actually inevitable. The jowls, not the coronary. I hope.

My husband and I are lazy, and eat sitting on the floor at the coffee table, in front of the TV. (I keep trying to push for the kitchen table and a CHAIR, but, well…) My basset hound is just the right height to do exactly the same thing on the coffee table that Stella is doing at a real table. Depending on what we’re having for dinner, she sometimes leaves a puddle behind.
Stella is sooo making me want to get a Dane of my own. I only have a 1 bedroom apartment, a Dane may take up the whole place…but I just about willing to pay that price. 😀
Stella looks sort of wistful that there wasn’t a plate for her and that ya’ll are all gone. Being a Great Dane is hard sometimes.
Love the daylillies on your table. I’m all into lillies this year. I have one bloom left on the Mean Mr. Mustard I planted this year and the regular plain daylillies that hadn’t seen the light of day in a long time and i thought they were gone have come up, but haven’t bloomed. Gotta get out and put more fertilizer on them again.
Stella’s not just Great, she doesn’t even need a chair to join in at family dinners. (Although she has to LOWER her head to get it on the table – that’s REALLY impressive!)
Come on, give the dog a bone! Or at least a paper plate. She’s so cute. Maybe I should say gigantically cute. Yes I am claiming that as a legitimate word.
