Welcome to Bossy’s Ear Worm, which features songs currently in Bossy’s headphones. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
The Decemberists, The Hazards of Love 4 (The Drowned).
Bossy just got hip to the Portland Oregon band, The Decemberists, and their latest record which was released this past March, The Hazards of Love.
This song, the last on a record which is tied together thematically and melodically, can’t stop reminding Bossy of Comfortably Numb in its scale. Sure is pretty.

August 20, 2009 at 12:52 pmI went to a Decemberists concert at the Electric Factory. A young in-the-know gal told me it was a great group to see before the hipsters got into them.
“Bandit Queen” is one of the only two songs I can play on the guitar (sounds nothing like “Dancing Queen”)

August 24, 2009 at 7:59 amThis is one of the moments when I’m sorry for not being a native speaker of English … “Chinking”? Too much to look up. 😉
Do you know the song “Tristan and Iseult” by Tarkio? It has a similar beauty to it.
