Watching TV with her two kids. Or doing just about anything with her two kids.
As a few readers have pointed out in the comment section, Bossy’s son has been scarce the past bit of time, owing to his full time summer job, which ended this past Wednesday. Now the countdown to sophomore year begins, a scant number of days remaining before he’s driven back up the turnpike to Columbia University.
Send tissues.

August 21, 2009 at 9:59 amAh, this looks like the scene at my house, substituting a cat for Stella, and deleting me because I have to work away from the house.
My boy heads back to Morningside Heights next Friday, to staff freshman orientation. He’s picked skirt steak for dinner tonight: his last Friday night at home. I am suprised to feel a bit sad, as we have been pushing each other’s buttons all summer.
Take care, p.j.
p.s. Remember to try the G.W. bridge & come down the West Side Highway to 125th. Awesome views.

August 21, 2009 at 10:10 amAlong with some tissues, Grandma J thinks she’ll tell Santa to send the Bossy family a nice cushy sectional couch for the family room.

August 21, 2009 at 1:34 pmI see that Bossy’s Son’s large Columbia brain requires a good amount of padding to support it! What a sweet scene with both of the kids lovin’ absentmindedly on Stella, and with you no doubt stealing loving gazes at them all.
