When I was 14, my parents bought me a ’77 Volkswagen van with my college savings money with the idea that fixing it up would be a bonding experience for my dad and I and that I would learn how to drive with it. Well, the thing was in pretty bad shape and we often prayed to the Almighty Jerry Garcia that it would start. I don’t think it ever did. That’s when I lost my faith.
Does Bossy remember telling me not to stop blogging because of Facebook? Well, this picture is one I wish you had a “Like” button for. Simple, sweet agreement.
Here in Veneta Oregon (home of the Oregon Country Fair — an annual return to the 60s.) many people don’t need the leaf to believe that about Jerry Garcia.
