my 9 yr old and I watched it together texting his dad the scores as he was on the West Coast in a class. Poor kid had to get on the 7.10am bus this morning. I sent him with a small pillow and earplugs so he could nap:) We were both cross-eyed with tiredness by midnight last night. We recorded all the celebrations for when he gets off the bus this afternoon.
It was a good run. There was some fantastic baseball.
that may be the saddest group I’ve ever seen. (except for those 2 on the left end of the sofa).
console yourselves with the thought that you get a lot of that fun anticipation right up to the bitter end.
in chicago, we never do. we just always get an early bitter end.
Those two on the end of the sofa are in cahoots with that tiny white dog! Oh, Stella, honey. They didn’t intentionally step out on you, I’m sure of it.
Don’t know if this makes you feel better or worse, but you wouldn’t know we’d won here in NYC. It seemed like any other night, walking on the streets after 11PM.
Right now I’m being jealous of your big pile of family and friends that you get together with on a seemingly regular basis. Fortunate bossy. Even if your team lost.
Is this the first pict ever of bossy family where there is no one… not a one of them smiling….but then there is that glow from the corner of the couch…

I’m glad the Y-team had to really claw the win and the series; the Phillies didn’t hand anything over.
Still stinks though..
