Bossy saw this cute little number the other day in Anthropologie while Christmas shopping. It’s a belted bit of cuteness with pleated cuteness.
Of course Bossy didn’t try it on because 1. Christmas, and Bossy is all no gifts for anyone except the kids and 2. Bossy only walks into Anthropologie for the sale table and 3. Bossy forgets because she is still mesmerized by this dress.

December 23, 2009 at 11:35 amI could see this on you. It’s so “strolling through town with a tote overflowing with flowers and vegetables and a baguette (and wine)”.

December 23, 2009 at 2:10 pmso you’re going to make your own version of it based on the photo?
(My mother did that once, for a dress I coveted as a teen and couldn’t afford. She sat in the dressing room, sketched it, went home, and made it! Some seamstress.)

Good thing I’m a man and our fashions only change about once every 150 years.

December 23, 2009 at 3:22 pmI’m thinking “shirley temple” when I look at this dress and not “shirley temple” as in I wish I was drinking a real drink instead of this #*)@ “shirley temple” but that looks like something which she wore http://www.child-stars.com/shirley-temple/130-034~Shirley-Temple-Posters.jpg
But, I’m 51 (almost 52) and still waiting to fit back into my Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress once I lose the baby weight (“baby” is about to turn 22 years old!), so what do I know?! Oh, brother: my DVF dress is actually featured in on the Metropolitan Museum’s website in iconic dresses from the 70’s!!! No, I’m not old, not at all!!! http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/amsp/ho_1997.487.htm
