The Italian Market, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. But maybe you knew that already.
Where else can you walk among princes and paupers, with every ethnicity represented? Once again Bossy and her mom and her daughter — three generation of happy Bossy-like people — went to the Italian Market on Christmas Eve eve to collect all of the ingredients they’ll need for the long holiday weekend.
Thank you, Italian Market.
Really, though — god bless it.
I love markets like this.
Merry Christmas to Bossy and all of Bossy’s loved ones!
Had I known you were going I would of got you to pick me up some cheese.
I still find the Italian Market gross, even after 22 years in the city, and living 1 mile from it. Just don’t like it–except for Fantes, of course!
Is that Claudio’s? Have you ever tried their unfiltered olive oil? To die for! Have a wonderful Holiday!
Mmmm Cheese!
I want a market like that nearby. But hmmm, really like living in the woods outside a small town. So, oh well.
Just took a quick break from preparing our traditional Sicilian Christmas dinner to check out your blog and oh my gah you’re at the Italian Market. Pick up some chestnuts, cardoons, artichokes and baccala and you’re there or here at my house. OK, we sub in salmon for the baccala, because really who has the time to reconstitute salted cod! Merry Christmas from the West Coast!
Wandering the aisles of Sam’s Club isn’t quite the same
Wish I had a market, any kind, near me!
Hello, hot cheese guy. Merry merry to Bossy and Bossy’s family! xoxo
We know that cheese shop! OUR FAV! And also, the bread shop…mmmmm…
Ah! I love this. In my other life I will have that experience but for now I’ll stay here by the ocean and read Bossy.
OG would sing arias at that market
http://bit.ly/7esjOj, but she is stuck in teh ugli, ugli, boring suburbs.
(click on the link- its REALLY cool)
Cheese guy looks none-too-happy to be working Christmas Eve eve, but a job’s a job, right?
Cheese guy is my new boyfriend. He looks unhappy because he’s wishing he were home with me, his little slice of gouda.
(Ok. Maybe not so little)
