This cluster of high rise apartment buildings in Philadelphia, designed by I.M. Pei. It’s where Bossy grew up and lived for nearly twenty years. It will always be home.
I agree with Bossy, THIS will always be home. A glorious fishbowl in the sky overlooking waterways and the town below. Acres of green surrounding these award winning buildings was a big attraction to those of us that liked open spaces. And, oh what fun it was.
When I was in college (on the other side of the Schuylkill), I sneaked in to a stairwell once and climbed to the roof of one of those towers. Nice view!
So fascinating, and so different a childhood environs from my college-town single family childhood home. Which I still love driving past on the rare occasion when I’m in that town.
I.M. Pei! Pretty fancy architecting on your apartment!
I have the same longing for Pasadena. Although I live 4 blocks from the Pacific ocean now Pasadena will always be home to me simply because of the sweetness I carved out for myself during the 10 yrs I lived in Pasadena. And, oh the live oaks—beauty for days.
That’s where my mom lived when she met my dad! They used to subsidize the housing there for all the young nurses at HUP.

Are you hiding in the bushes spying on your old apartment’s new tenants?

And, what Jodi Anderson said.
Are they the Society Hill Towers? I was in one of the condos once, way up, and the views were amazing.
You started in a high rise and I want to end in a high rise. Always dreaming of a loft.

Could we BE any more different Bossy?

Talk about opposite world (but the same dog!)
