When last we saw Bossy she was returning a camera lens she purchased an hour prior, and then Bossy drove ten thousand miles and married a barkeep in the middle of nowhere wrapped in nowhere Texas. The end.
Perhaps Bossy should start at the beginning.
Bossy was born a poor black blogger. And so she returned a camera lens in Houston Texas and waved goodbye to her beautiful and talented Houston host and drove off toward Austin Texas, where she had a date to meet a table full of Bossy’s Austin council, and much fun was had by all, such as Dawn, Sharon, Laurie, Jami, Nikki, Rachel, the cutest blogger in America Amanda, Liz, and Hokgardner, with a special shout out to Megan and Deb.
The next morning that was so early it was actually dark night, Bossy climbed in her (Harrison) Ford and drove toward West Texas, where drove equals swam:
That’s right, the rural road in the middle of nowhere wrapped inside more nowhere was periodically washed out, and Bossy had to eye the flood yardstick and eye the waterfall created by the washed out road and eye her bleary eyes and make a decision about whether she could reach the other side.
Luckily Bossy wasn’t all alone in the middle of nowhere wrapped in nowhere or this might have been very scary — but as always Bossy had (Harrison) Ford, and he was handsome and brave as ever, and together they forged the ocean that was lying on the roadway by mistake.
And then Bossy was well on her way to meet her destiny, where destiny equals a nap in her backseat under a tree outside of a bar in Marfa Texas:
Why ever were you in Marfa Texas, you may be asking Bossy, where you equals Bossy’s friend Bobo, who is the only one patient enough to scroll through all of these photos, hi Bobo!
Well, Bossy was in Marfa Texas to meet up with other bloggers who were gathering in Marfa Texas to review a murder mystery which takes place in Marfa Texas. Marfa Texas Marfa Texas.
The other bloggers were Laura, Katherine, Monica, The Bloggess, Katie, and Nancy, with a special shout out to John the (real) author and Kay.
Remember that John Cusack movie about the barkeep and the blogger? It ends with the blogger waking up at five in the morning so she can drive ten-thousand miles to Scottsdale Arizona.
Once in Scottsdale, Bossy met up with more of her council on a patio with a sweet breeze blowing across the basin, like MommyMae and Wendy and Cindy and Regina and Jess, with a special shout out to Tamis and Tracy and Diane and Andrea and Lori:
And now Bossy is diligently working at her friend Wendy’s house, where working equals Oh my gah has anyone seen the new Bravo show 9 By Design?

April 19, 2010 at 2:42 pmThe washed out road looks SCARY. If this were VUBOQ’s (no) Book Tour, he would still be sitting there waiting for all that water to go away.

Here I was thinking it was all a really good dream and I was going to wake up ANY MINUTE and then go down to Lustre Pearl (after letting the pillow marks fade away) and meet with all the Austin Council and have a real evening of amazing fun bonding with Bossy. And now I find out that it’s all over? Dammit!
Hi, Bobo.

April 19, 2010 at 4:55 pmOnce again, Bossy proves she is the bravest, hippest, craziest blogger around…willing to ford (harrison) mighty rivers and brave hangovers and early early mornings and even Marfa, Texas for her council. Thanks, Bossy – can’t wait to meet you in person!

April 19, 2010 at 4:57 pmI’m so happy I was able to contribute my floating head into the Scottsdale group snapshot. The talent of the arm of a 5’10” woman. How I adore thee? Also, thank goodness for being tall and inappropriately groping Gina & MommyMae’s backsides whilst I tip-toed in the back there.
Safety Dance anyone?

April 19, 2010 at 5:05 pmI am in love with 9 by Design.
I want more Marfa…which rymes with barfa. That is what I would be doing if I drank in that bar and slept under a tree. In a car. Which shoulda been a boat to pass through the moat that was Texas.
Wish I were there.

Bossy’s daughter’s post rocks, too. And her son’s. Bossiness is a a joy. So glad to have found it. And BTW, I found it because of your Rachael Ray post, and I have been working my way through the archives ever since. You have been helping me through a leg injury of my own. Many thanks!

April 19, 2010 at 7:47 pmWhew! Gah! I’m exhausted just reading this. I’m with Bossy’s mom – this has made me want a road trip heading west. It would end up in Davis, CA on F street in particular – downtown in some coffee shop. I’m sure things have changed since I lived there.

Husbands:
1. DC Cameraman
2. Harrison Ford
3. Holiday Inn Express
4. Bossy’s Little Rock Hostess
5. Barkeep in the middle of Texas after no sleep. The consummation may or may not have occurred inside Harrison Ford under a tree in Marfa, TX… or some such.
6. POSSIBLY Cameraman Eric in Austin, however…
Divorces:
1. Cameraman Eric’s restroom-happy microphone.
(Happy is a completely arbitrary word, and the tallyer has no way of knowing if the mike was happy or mortified.)
