For as long as Bossy can remember, she’s had crushes on cars, as exemplified by the above photo of one of her first car crushes, the VW Station Wagon.
Sure there may have been sexier cars, but Bossy understood from a young age the strength of a utilitarian shape, and the honesty of a simple interior:
It may stand to reason Bossy’s crush on the Volkswagon grew to include this fella:
Charming and goofy with a great sense of humor, the VW Bus knew exactly who it was — and Bossy could imagine wrapping her hands around its oversized, erect steering wheel and going places yet unexplored:
These days Bossy has a crush on the Mini Cooper:
Bossy enjoys visiting her dream Mini online from time to time, whose understated White Pepper exterior only hints at the more rugged bad-boy English Oak dashboard within:
Bossy can sum up her current car crush in this way: Only room for one. Gee, sorry family. And beep beep!
Which is what today’s Ten-Word Challenge is all about. In exactly ten words, can you tell Bossy about the car crushes you’ve had throughout the years?
And be sure to check back later today for the best car crushes on the web.

We lived in Holland in 1969 and my family bought and shipped a tan VW station wagon back to the U.S. That is what I grew up driving because my parents wouldn’t let us drive the “good” cars. I love the VW bus as well and we rented one 10 years ago to drive from Santa Barbara to Montana for a family reunion. Awesome. My first car was a used 1979 silver VW bug convertible. As you can see, I’ve loved VW. I then owned a 1997 Passat and, unfortunately, hated it. I now drive an orange “hot lava” 2004 Scion xB and love it. Great for my doggies. My car crushes never included fancy cars…
