Bossy toured the Ford factory, and was impressed by the upbeat environment and the fact the majority of the work is hands-on, performed by people and not machines. Jobs, people. Bossy will definitely keep all of this in mind — the people she saw working the assembly line — when purchasing her next car.

January 13, 2011 at 3:35 pmAs part of my work as a servant of the public, I had the opportunity to tour the two Chrysler plants here in STL about 10 years ago: fascinating, with lots of people and robots that looked kind-of-like people. Now shut down and no jobs. Also toured the closed-down Ford plant a few years ago. Very sad. Your Ford plant looks much happier.

January 14, 2011 at 11:53 amThey let you take PICTURES? At the Rouge? I’m not even allowed to do that, and I work for the place that runs the damn tour! I love that place. HAK: It’s not like it used to be. Times have changed for Ford and GM and Chrysler and the UAW.
