Bossy’s daughter has been friends with this fella since they were very little, and cast opposite each other in many plays. There’s very few things as fantastic as being just friends. Except when you’re not just friends, Bossy supposes.
Sweet photo, Bossy. And I agree about friends of the opposite gender. Good to have you back! I hope everything has been going o.k. for you and family members, p.j.
That lovely young woman is not possibly your daughter, Bossy. Your daughter is still a little girl, I’m sure of it. I mean, just the other day she was. Wasn’t she?
(sigh)
I carry a memory in my heart (no camera handy at the time) of the girl who I assumed, when she and my son were seven, would become my daughter-in-law. Something scary was on TV, and she put her hand on his knee for reassurance. The look that came over his face, I will never forget. Sadly, having grown up together like a pair of puppies, their union did not transpire. Instead, she has become my surrogate daughter and brought an entirely wonderful additional young man into our lives.
But just yesterday (I’m sure of it) or perhaps the day before, they were little.

Just friends a wonderful thing to be. Having grown up with a big brother, male friends are not exactly as mysterious as they would be without him.
