Jersey Corn. And remind Bossy to tell you about the time she had a huge argument with her friend Jim who suggested that tomatoes straight from his childhood Illinois garden are as good as Jersey tomatoes.
Anyway, this corn — straight from a Jersey farm stand. Steaming, crunchy, slathered with butter, dash of salt and pepper.
Even though Bossy’s family is right now saying, “You? Corn? A favorite?” because Bossy always fights adding corn to the menu because she really hates boiling a cauldron of water in the heat of summer, and she’s not mad for corn on the grill, or maybe Bossy and her family just don’t do it right.
Also there’s the fact that corn doesn’t really love Bossy back because it’s so difficult to digest — and why all of the sudden does it seem that corn isn’t a favorite at all?
