Bossy’s Favorite Things.

These two women. Separately they are Heather (left) from bodacious girl and Lauren (right) from urbanana, but together they are Team Bossy, Bossy’s talented design team.

Here’s what: in early summer, Bossy was contacted by each of these web designers separately, offering their help with Bossy’s redesign. Bossy doesn’t know why these women thought Bossy was so desperate for a new look—it wasn’t as if Bossy wrote a post begging for design help! Oh, wait.

Anyway. Both of these women can bench-press a thousand pounds of both the creative and the code end of blog design, but instead of choosing one designer over the other, Bossy saw a clear vision of a team where every strength was utilized and the tasks were evenly divided between the two.

Now: most people don’t like to work in teams. Bossy was the annoying one in the classroom who groaned when forced to play nice in the sand with other classmates on a collective project. And this gets particularly tricky when dealing with computer code, since too many cooks in that kitchen can burn the URL.

But seriously, y’all, Bossy can’t begin to explain how easily these two women—who have never met and live 2300 miles apart—managed to pool their information and skills, in the most egoless and humorous way possible.

Bossy knew the two designers complimented each other’s skill sets perfectly, but she can’t exactly describe the sweetness factor—like a few nights ago when the two-word email from Heather, “…‘night, Lauren…”

Every one of Bossy’s website goals and endless design mock-ups were carefully considered and brought to fruition. Of course as Heather points out, it took over 1470 emails and a liquor store, but you hear what Bossy’s saying: done!

Bossy will miss having these two in her life every minute, although as they keep reminding her, “Cheer up kid, we’re not going anywhere yet!” as they work to complete a few of the special features.

What a pleasure it has been collaborating with these two. A favorite, indeed.
