One charming Home Depot wholesale supply division, as is. In good condition, all things considered. Not sure if it works, and the handles are broken. Pick-up only. Will accept money order, certified check, or $9.1 billion in cash.

August 24, 2007 at 11:49 amHmmm, adding up everything I’ve spent fixing up this house and the last, perhaps I would have been better off getting in on this deal.

August 24, 2007 at 3:00 pmThis is kind of in the department of my soapbox. When all these box stores realize that the discounts they were receiving were at the cost of the suppliers (peronsally, I’m worried about publishers selling to chain bookstores) the whole system is going to start to collapse much like the shoddily built houses made out of cheap plywood. Or something.

August 24, 2007 at 3:01 pmWhich Home Depot do you guys shop at?? Mine’s got the older guys who couldn’t make it as contractors on their own – complete with plumber’s crack!

August 24, 2007 at 4:25 pmI usually go to Lowe’s. Home Depot is too orange. It bothers me.

I agree with the others: I prefer Lowes.

I’m with Miss Britt on this one. Clearance is closer to my favorite price (free) than 9.1 billion.

August 24, 2007 at 9:31 pmGosh, I don’t know what I’ll do if they shut down. They were so useful when giving directions. “Make a left after the Home Depot.”

August 25, 2007 at 12:40 amWe love the HD and Lowe’s too. Of course we also have a 50 year old house, so we don’t have a lot of choice in that relationship.
Hey, I don’t know if you do memes, but if you do I’ve tagged you on my blog.
Mostly thought I just wanted to point folks over here to enjoy one of my favorite humorists.

August 26, 2007 at 12:55 pmHome Depot is my Disney World! And they just opened one down the street from me. If they sold beer and had rides I would buy a season pass.

August 26, 2007 at 7:34 pmWe’ve always found that the cheapest way to upgrade our abode is to let the neighbors “contribute” one brick at a time. They don’t want a porch with one brick missing, after all, so we’ve managed to save up almost enough for an in-ground jacuzzi.

August 26, 2007 at 11:19 pmAh ….crap. Does this mean Buck won’t get the trusty Home Depot gift card in his stocking this year?! I hope you’re planning on writing a Christmas Gift Guide, ’cause I’m gonna need one. Hey, Wild Bill…… call me.
Thanx.
