These faces. And let Bossy explain why.
These faces belong to Bossy’s daughter and her two cousins, who Bossy has written about before.
Anyway. The day before thanksgiving, the three goofs gathered at Bossy’s house to iron the table linens and make the place setting name cards.
After Bossy put away her whip, she allowed the girls to watch TV in the family room, as long as that show was Oprah, and as long as Bossy could stretch out on the entire sofa and nap.
“It’s going to be a Holiday Show!” Bossy told the girls. “All about inexpensive holiday gifts!” Well, now we know how wrong Bossy turned out to be.
And so the next day the girls were playing on the swing in front of Bossy’s house, and Bossy wandered out there with her camera and asked the girls to make a face capturing just how bad Oprah’s Holiday Show really was.
And Bossy thinks they nailed it.

December 9, 2008 at 10:08 amHow unfortunate that these 3 girlies are shy and have no sense of humor. Perhaps you could teach them to loosen up?

December 9, 2008 at 10:28 amThey totally nailed it. Her show was super-bad. Like, so contrived and patronizing and lame. SHe doesn’t have to give away free stuff but she’s richer than rich and could have made a few less-fortunate people happier this year, for sure.

Those expressions are priceless.

Gah, I’m leaving ten word comments from force of habit!

December 10, 2008 at 7:39 pmThat is possibly the most unfortunate placement of a swing rope ever. For a moment I was worried about whether Bossy’s daughter made it out of the photoshoot alive.
