Last night Bossy and her son — who is home for only a few more days — paged through some cookbooks to plan a meal they will prepare together, as is custom.
Jenn and her son have a more traditional relationship. He says what he wants for dinner and she cooks it. Then he does the dishes. Except on Mother’s Day when he makes grilled Salmon and the Moosewood cookbook Indonesian Rice Salad and it is amazing.
Looking forward to hearing about the final meal choices & pics from the chaos of meal production!
Oreos & milk…mmmmm (only three?)
When should we come over and what can we bring?
That’s so sweet! I spy the oreos, too. yum.
Complete with his oreos and milk. You guys are like the Huxtables, but even cooler.
Food is so central in your household, even when planning food! Food was fraught with angst in my home growing up.
Yum, Oreos and milk, oranges and wine, can I come for dinner?
I would let Bossy’s son make me dinner. Anytime.
Love that about your son!
He’s going to make a damn fine husband some day.

That is really quite beautiful! Enjoy these last few days of winter break!
i love cooking with my kids, great tradition
Mmm, I just want some oreos.
Oh, mercy. I’m blushing – that look, over the kitchen table. *gulp*
OMGah, I wont say what I want, but it ain’t Oreos and milk…
(don’t tell him I said that)
three years later and I’m still twitterpated, especially since he’s all legal and stuff.
