What a beautiful shot. It reminds me of a short story by Mary Ladd Gavell called, “The Swing.” Any mom with a son–especially a grownup son–should read it. And weep. (If you can’t find it, Bossy, email me and I’ll send you a copy.)
I really like that picture.
I wish Bossy was close or some one was
close that could run me to town to pick up
more cold medicine and toliet paper.
-20 below actual temps, battery dead in the
truck. I am always the one that helps and can
get every one every where. Think my truck is
a little mad at me.
It is sick of Below Zero and so am I…
Bossy wish you where here in MN. But you are
happy that you are home…
I will give you a glass or 2 of wine…
Better not check any of my pictures at 3limes. Really don’t. They involve way too much sun and sand and palm trees.
p.s I never had snow growing up, then had 13 years in Montreal and now I am in Trinidad. Help! I am ruined for life!
pps. this is a very beautiful photo.
I wish I could relate to the cold. But I can’t lie. I can’t relate. However, that is a really great picture. Does that make anything better? Your heart a little warmer? Maybe your feet a little warmer? No? Sorry…
This photo should come with a warning label – staring at it too long can cause a physical ache in the general chest region and leaking of tears from the eyes.

January 27, 2009 at 3:25 pmI would LOVE this photo if it wasn’t for the stupid b-ball. For some reason it is reminding me of a headstone – or maybe just a head.
Sorry if that’s too brusque. Just my nsho.
