Best friends.
One of the coolest things about producing cool children is watching them go out in the world and draw cool people to them.
This is Bossy’s son and his best friend at Columbia University. They are floor mates, and Bossy adores him like he was her own.
He’s from Oakland California, and here they make the gang sign. Dudes!

January 28, 2009 at 10:54 amHow sweet. They are attending college to learn gang signs. Our children love to shock us, so not to worry. Mine have told me about many unusual things they did while in college., but they waited several years. My kids were a hoot and were very fun to be around.

January 28, 2009 at 12:55 pmOh please, they are chanting “OM.” Can’t you tell by the way their hands are in gyan mudra? The index finger represents Jupiter. Jupiter represents knowledge, and expansion. Hello? College students!
You people.

January 28, 2009 at 1:24 pmI hear ya – I had a lot of fun when my daughter reached teenager-hood and found other cool kids to hang with. She continued to collect them through college and grad school, and some of them have even let me friend them on Facebook. Very cool people!

January 28, 2009 at 4:13 pmDon’t you love it when bands YOU were actually too young to enjoy in their heyday adorn the walls and bodies of 18-year-olds? Pete Townsend would smile.

January 28, 2009 at 7:24 pmPhotos of my in-college nephew usually involve cheap beer and/or absinthe. Those are the facebook ones his mom never sees but for some reason he, too, allowed his auntie to be his FB friend. Quite a privilege, in an odd way.
