Shifting habits.
You are looking at a photo of Bossy’s view from her living room sofa, at dusk. As we all know, Bossy’s house is so small it’s barely a house at all, but rather a Shoebox Diorama.
But strangely, considering the size of the place, there was up until recently a couple of corners of the house that were less used than others, namely the living room at night. This is because Bossy used to retire to her family room after dinner where she would plug herself into the Bravo network.
But the last bit of time, Bossy has been lighting after-dinner fires in her fireplace and settling on the sofa with her computer and headphones and power cord and camera card and USB card reader, real old-fashioned like.
It makes Bossy happy to be in her living room at night.

February 2, 2009 at 9:35 amCozy yes, but every time you light a fire, all of the heat in the house goes right up the chimney. Fireplaces are great…as long as you don’t use them to actually heat the room…..Wah, wah…….

February 2, 2009 at 9:37 amWait…You have a living room AND a family room?? Me thinks that Bossy’s barely a house is more house than my “cozy” shack!

February 2, 2009 at 9:51 amGreat pic! I think it’s great to shift habits like that. I’ve been doing a bit of the same too. I’ve actually turned off the TV, which is huge! Have I mentioned I love those pillows?

February 2, 2009 at 10:39 amYou keep saying your house is small because you don’t want any of your road-trip hosts to ring you up one day and say, “You know how you said anytime I was in the area i should stop by and you’d return the favor? Well, guess what?”

February 2, 2009 at 1:54 pmBossy has the right idea…change IS good! It makes us appreciate the things we have more. And a very cozy diorama it is, too!

February 2, 2009 at 8:08 pmI noticed the little lights formerly known as Christmas lights back when there was the toaster guess and press, and now see there are some purple ones too. Makes it cheery.
