Paula Dorf’s Bamboo Exfoliator.
You wouldn’t even believe Bossy if she told you how long she can stretch an expensive product, so she won’t even bother. Three years.
Bossy first came across this product as a sample in Bergdorf Goodman, where Bossy often went with her sister-in-law the actress. Bossy made the thumbnail-sized sample last many months before deciding to invest in the 2.5 ounce container.
Bossy only uses a tiny dash once a week on her face — and she likes it because it’s not too abrasive, yet you can feel it’s doing something.
Bossy found it online here for $30.
Bossy isn’t sure she’ll be able to afford to purchase this stuff again, but you have to figure: 3 years times 365 days divided by $30 is like 36.5.
But 36.5 what?

To get the cost per day you need to divide $30 by the number of days it lasted, so it cost 2.7 cents per day unless there was a leap year in there last year, then it cost less.

I love the apricot scrub that I use from St Ives. Gives me a good scrub without overdrying and it is not harsh on my sensitive skin. Plus it smells YUMMY 🙂

Thanks to Kathy from NJ for making me feel better about the freak who does math problems for fun.
You calculation is 36.5 days per dollar.

Kathy and Kristine beat me to it! Isn’t it nice for Bossy to know that she can come to her readers for help with complex calculations? 🙂

Hey Everyone! If it’s your first order on that website they give you a free Stila lipgloss ($18 value)! And shipping is free! It’s February….go shopping!

Actually Kristine wins because she answered the question. Bossy’s skin is totally worth a dollar every 36.5 days. I’m tempted to buy some myself because of the FREE! lipgloss and FREE! shipping – my husband always said that if someone were giving away malaria for free, I would take two.

Ok so are we solving for X where x=the cost/day which is as Kathy says 2.7 cents
should we in fact be solving for X where x=the cost per use?????
’cause in that case the bargooooon is not great at 19 cents.
or are we solving for how many day $1 can last????
Now you know WHY WE NEED A POVERTY PARTY!!!

Argh. Of course I pulled out my calculator, all “duh!” and then got 36.5 and went, “er, hmmm. well, look at the time! gotta go!”

It’s 36.5 boyfriends. You’ll get that many by using this product, instead of using Oil of Old Lady and watching your face wither up and die right in front of your eyes every single morning.
