The other night Bossy rented the 2008 release Ghost Town. The movie begins with a title and stuff. And actors.
Greg Kinnear plays a man. He is on the phone. He does other stuff too. For approximately one hour and 42 minutes.
Bossy’s husband Ricky Gervais plays a man with a British accent. He wears a lot of white. He sometimes wears other colors, though.
Kristen Wiig plays a closet lesbian news anchor. On Saturday Night Live. Here she is not that, but she is still nervous as a cat in a bag.
And then in the beginning or the middle or the end of Ghost Town, Greg Kinnear and Bossy’s husband Ricky Gervais meet. And they meet having something to do with her:
Téa Leoni plays a woman. A cute cute cute gah how can they make them this cute woman. She is very convincing as a cute woman.
Bossy didn’t catch this guy’s name, but he plays a divorced guy with kids. On a cancelled TV show from the 90s. And in that show, he falls in love with a divorced woman with kids but the two of them were always too busy dropping the telephone from their shoulders and cleaning up spilled cereal to spend much time together. Bossy’s mom doesn’t like his upturned nose.
And these people are character actors. Some of them got paid extra to speak. One of them may or may not have been nude.
In Bossy’s humble opinion, Ghost Town gets five stars, two thumbs up, and one actor’s upturned nose. Rent today!

April 3, 2009 at 9:11 amThat’s one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a while. The scene you show with Ricky Gervais and Kristen Wiig had me laughing so hard I had to back up the movie because I missed some of the dialogue after. So many good lines / good characters. 5 stars and all thumbs up!

April 3, 2009 at 10:06 amWe were wondering if that is Jackie Beauvoir Kennedy Onassis in a nurses uniform in the last picture. To the middle left. Cause it looks like it. And the movie is called Ghost Town.

Just added this to my netflix list. Which is already so long as to keep me (us) occupied for the next several centuries. Thanks for the review!

April 3, 2009 at 5:26 pmI adored this movie. When Ricky’s at Tea’s house and her dog is all panting in his face and she sprays the room freshener and he’s all retching, I fell off the couch.
And how could David Duchovny have cheated on her, that bastard (who I still kind of love anyway, the jerk).
