In the Language Arts program at the local public Middle School, the sixth grade kids divide into groups and write, develop, and shoot film projects. The whole thing culminates in an Academy Awards assembly, complete with dresses, suit jackets, and high heels — and that’s just the kids. The parents act as paparazzi as the kids walk the red carpet into the auditorium.
This year Bossy’s daughter and her group split a victory for Best Film, and in the photo above, she makes the acceptance speech.
In the photo below, Bossy’s daughter and a friend collect their awards for Best Actress.
Post award interview?
Congratulations, Bossy’s Daughter! Nice shoes.
But WHO was Bossy’s daughter wearing???
Congrats to Bossy’s Daughter and her equally lovely co-winner!!
There should be more occassions where a feather boa is appropriate attire.
CUTE! LOVE the shoes, but the apple does not fall far from the (shoe) tree obviously. Congratulations!!
You know what I love? Bossy’s Daughter has the cutest glasses, AND the cutest bobby pin do. AND the longest legs… chip off the old Bossy Block, what?
🙂
BB
That is WAY more work than I ever did in 6th grade
Bossy’s daughter is just beautiful. 🙂
YAY!
Bossy’s daughter is magnificent,beautiful,bright,and talented!!
What great genes she must have!
Bravo Bossy’s daughter! I can’t wait for the sequel!
Bossy’s daughter? Will you give me an autograph? I want to be as cool as you when I grow up. Seriously. Like, NOW!
Congrats, leggy super model!
Congratulations Bossy’s Beautiful Daughter!
So, so adorable! What a smart looking beauty she is, Bossy! And congrats to her!!!
At the podium, Bossy’s Daughter just glows with the pride of a job well done: so poised! Congratulations! p.j.
Jeez, the only thing we did in 6th grade was make a mini solar greenhouse.
She really is lovely. She favors your sister-in-law, the actress, don’t you think?
Leggy supermodel? And then some.
This was a dress rehearsal for when Bossy’s Daughter wins the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical.
I thought you were going to tell us she was the Host of the whole shebang, because I bet she could have done that, too.
I don’t think your daughter could be any more adorable. Love her glasses too.
The second photo squeezes my heart a little because Bossy’s Daughter is totally growing up. And into a beautiful young lady, I might add. 🙂
SIGH!!!!!!!!
Maybe it’s the glasses, or the talent, or the practically visible glow of beauty and confidence about her, but in that first pic especially, Bossy’s daughter seems to be channeling a bit of Tina Fey…
In my school, we did a film project in eighth grade. My group’s film was SUCH a piece of crap. I cringe at the memory.
Oh my gosh, the heels!!! Love them.
Bossy’s daughter definitely has that star quality! Very poised and glamorous.
I hope she thanked her mother. Congratulations, Bossy’s daughter!
Brava, Bossy’s Daughter!! She looks deservedly proud and super cute.
Yes, but how long before they are all in rehab!?
Seriously, tho, if we had a school this great and INVOLVED around we’d be public schooling.
Congratulations, Bossy’s daughter! I love the shoes – I have them in both bronze and in bright shiny red.
Bossy’s Daughter is looking suddenly very grown up. Lovely, talented young woman, a real chip off the Bossy herself.
I agree with Liz/22 about the Tina Fey thing. As I’ve done before. Well, not agreed with Liz but noticed the resemblance, thanks to the glasses.
Maybe you could rent out BD to Tina when she needs a leggy 6th or 7th grade rental daughter. It could be good experience for BD for her upcoming Life In The Limelight.
Well-deserved accolades–and you can see such a difference in her since the beginning of the school year.
My goodness. She is all legs and loveliness.
