Chicago’s deep dish pizza.
Bossy had the chance to try a slice of her friend Melanie’s pizza last weekend at Pizzeria Due.
Know this: Bossy doesn’t even like pizza that much, and just ten minutes earlier had stated she wasn’t in the mood for pizza. Well this isn’t pizza. It’s heaven mixed with sausage and cheese and fresh tomatoes.
Perhaps, you don’t like pizza because you haven’t had good pizza. I highly recommend checking the reviews at http://slice.seriouseats.com/ next time you are coming to NYC.
I saw the picture before I saw what Bossy wrote and knew who’w pizza it was. Thats whats so great about being from Chicago
Next time you’re in Chicago, its worth the wait in line for Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder. They make these deep dish pizza pot pies that are to die for. And this crispy chewy flat bread covered in herbs and parmesan… Oh great, now I want pizza at 7am.

vuboq guessed “cheesecake” before he pressed.
It’s not just food, it’s also art.
Lou Malnati’s ships traditional, Chicago-style deep dish casserole – no, I mean PIZZA – anywhere! Visit http://www.tastesofchicago.com/category/1 or http://www.loumalnatis.com. Their pizza is, for lack of a better term, the shiz.
So glad you enjoyed our fair city!
Gino’s East all the way but NOTHING beats Chicago Pizza. Starving now, thanks Bossy
I love that I knew what that was before I even scrolled all the way down. Man, I miss some good back home cooking! I knew I should have went to that conference, even if it meant sneaking out just to go wat all day!
That pizza looks positively yummy! I had Chicago deep dish pizza (at Gino’s) once. Nearly 25 years ago. I musta been 5…or 20!
Don’t even get me started! I haven’t had a decent slice of deep dish since we left the windy city years ago. So sad.
It’s a toss up between that and Portillo’s Italian beef sandwiches. Damn my land of sushi, coffee, and avocados!
I took two slices home on the plane and I ate one yesterday for dinner! It was lunch with Bossy all over again.
Lunch was a sweet, juicy home-grown peach as big as my head, and now I’m pouting because IT WASN’T THAT PIZZA. Thanksalotta.
p.s. Dear Bossy, I think you need to change this page’s tag to “Like Oprah Minus the MINIONS.” Which is how I read it Every. Time.
This photo just about killed me.
Don’t like pizza??
Blaspheme!!!
yeah, that’s lasagne pie.
