On Saturday night Bossy’s 26-year-old cousin Adrian got married. Here he is in his wedding tux:
The fact is Bossy would love to show her readers reader a photo of Adrian in his tux — or any photo of Adrian taken after 1986 — but: problem. This is Bossy’s new digital camera, which she brought to the wedding in her ginormous handbag:
And this is Bossy’s new digital camera without its memory card which Bossy inadvertently left in her landfill desk drawer:
Anyway. The wedding was amazing. Bossy had so much fun hanging out with her relatives. This is the groom’s proud father — Bossy’s Uncle Doug — dancing with his wife Kathy:
And this is a photo of Bossy with her cousin Eli, drinking martinis near the open bar:
And here Bossy and her other cousin Eric scarf Cordon Bleu appetizers:
After the wedding Bossy and her cousin Eric went out on the town. Here they are at a local disco:
An hour later the bridal party arrived at the disco in full regalia — the bride in her wedding dress and veil, and Adrian still in his full tux:
And here Adrian smokes a cigarette while recounting his experiences in the Navy:
Bossy wishes you could have been there. PS:
I’m OCD about my camera’s memory cards and batteries. Great photo’s from times past though!
You totally were channeling Aimee Mann in the 80’s (minus the dandelion hair she had).
Whoo! look at Bossy pickin up the younger guys at the disco.
Bummer, forgetting your memory card! But it seems like you had a blast anyway and the images will remain in your other memory card – granted one that is not quite as dependable. In which case you can always give people the ol’ Susan Sontag “On Photography” excuse.
Aw, such great wedding photos! Possibly the best ever.
(Why do I feel compelled to yell, “Yo, Adrian?”)
(I have a series of growths on my forehead today that K called my “hood ornaments” and I thought of you and your ENORMOUS HORN.)
Love the flashback photos. Makes me yearn for a little Three’s Company. And gorgeous picture at the end.
That was so much fun!
And you cousin and wife are really cute.
Mazeltov to them and best wishes in their new life.
Mazel Tov indeed!
Bossy’s mom looks like Drew Barrymore in that picture and Bossy looks like Lea Thompson when she did the movie Some Kind of Wonderful back in the 80s…
Excellent! Well done you.
Cheers
Missed being bossed by you this weekend, but this makes up for it. Orangeblossoms is lovin’ the eighties all over again.
Actually, those were the awkward high school years. Maybe not.
Thanks for the walk down your memory lane! Love it! The final pic caught their happiness so well! Glad ya’ll had a great time.
Bossy looks ike her mom.
Bossy looks like her mom.
I am so glad to know Bossy has bad hair days and forgets things. Kindred spirits unite!
The 80’s were mercifully erased from my memory so that I could remember….. DAMN!
What’s this? A camera memory card? I dont have a camera….
I am lovin your work Bossy.
Drew Barrymore and Lea Thompson…totally right on!
i want shoes like that..and hair like yours Bossy 🙂
that is wonderful fun. memories abound. Well done. thank you for an enjoyable presentation.
Congrats to Bossy’s cousin!
I am jealous that I am not one of Bossy’s cousins. Bossy’s family knows how to have fun at a wedding.
are your pants up to your nipples in that picture?
Girlplease: Yes. Nipple pants were all the rage back in the 1980s when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Is that really your cousin in the last picture? I’m pretty naive, so if it’s a joke, I didn’t get it. Anyway, if that is him…
ROWR!!!
He’s hot.
Let me know if that “marriage” thing doesn’t work out for him.
P.S. Bananarama rocks! You were the “fourth” Bananaramaam, weren’t you?
