Does this sound like there’s nothing on TV? Because when Bossy asked her husband to check the programming guide last night at nine he clearly stated there was nothing on TV. Hello, McFly?
Bionic Woman, Kitchen Nightmares, Supernatural Science, Destilando Amor, Colon Coin Collector, Japanland, Big Mac: Inside the McDonald’s Empire, 19th Hole, I Love the 80s: 3-D, The Real World, Dr. 90210, Panty Pantry Raid, Plastic Surgery: Before & After, Ghost Hunters, Live Once Die Twice, and The Boy With A New Head.
What is Bossy’s husband, anyway — a Rhodes scholar?
Mary Alice says
October 11, 2007 at 8:41 amHello “The War” Ken Burns documentary on WWII was on. What is Bossy’s brilliant husband talking about, nothing on? Mary Alice was riveted.

October 11, 2007 at 9:07 amIn our house, mostly what’s always on TV is sports. There is ALWAYS sports to be watched. The Pitt / Navy football game was on last night, for example.

October 11, 2007 at 9:08 amWasn’t Dirty Sexy Money on last night???
I’m loving that show…soooo trashy

October 11, 2007 at 9:18 amI wouldn’t know if there was anything on TV as I was catching up with last season of Dexter by DVD.

October 11, 2007 at 9:21 amTop Chef is over and the new season of Project Runway hasn’t started yet. So as far as I’m concerned, he’s right!
Crystal D says
October 11, 2007 at 9:22 amBossy needs a DVR. Then Bossy can watch a Dr.90210 marathon any time there is “nothing” on TV.
BH says
October 11, 2007 at 9:22 amHey! Easy ladies (and gentlemen!) SORRY! ;p
I’ve seen that “episode” of “The War” 3 times already (maybe Bossy fell asleep!)… And, with the possible exception of “Bionic Woman”, and the “Top Chef” Retrospective, (how the heck did I miss those 2 gems!), I don’t consider much of that other crap to to be good TV! Pitt/Navy! PLEASE!
Grrrr :)=
Avitable says
October 11, 2007 at 9:31 amThat’s why the DVR is so useful. So you don’t have to rely on untrustworthy husbands.
DD says
October 11, 2007 at 9:32 amPlastic Surgery was a rerun. I was bummed.
I did get to see Corner Gas on WGN, though, and you know what? It’s pretty damn good.

October 11, 2007 at 9:34 amBossy did not add Pushing Dasies. Watch this show on yer computer. It’s so fecking great!

October 11, 2007 at 9:48 amI can watch just about anything and since we don’t have cable or dish (I know, it’s a sin), I will watch just about anything so there is never nothing on television for me.

October 11, 2007 at 9:49 amI missed “Inside the McDonald’s Empire”?!
I didn’t miss America’s Next Top Model though!

October 11, 2007 at 10:14 amI really wanted to watch the Top Chef Reunion and the repeated Rock of Love reunion, but fell asleep….also, Kid Nation was on too, but I missed that as well….see SOMETHING was on. And, I love the 80’s is enjoyable, but better on a lazy weekend.
Mrs. G. says
October 11, 2007 at 10:21 amYour husband is so right. And for the record, Lyndsey Wagner is the ONLY bionic woman. Please.
Wendy says
October 11, 2007 at 10:25 amI second Pushing Daisies. It’s amazingly beautiful and clever. Reminds me a little of the movie Amélie in the way it is filmed.
zmulls says
October 11, 2007 at 10:27 amHmmmm….maybe Bossy’s husband was trying to tell Bossy something?????
Like an “it’s cold out but it’s warm under the covers and there’s nothing on TV” sort of thing?
Bossy is very obtuse sometimes.

October 11, 2007 at 10:31 amAh yes!
Kitchen Nightmares and Dirty Sexy Money.
Great Shows.
Miss Britt says
October 11, 2007 at 10:38 amNot a one of THOSE.
But America’s Next Top Model was on. AND Gossip Girl – which I have yet catch more than 30 seconds of but the commercials look SOOOO good.

October 11, 2007 at 11:22 amI’ve given up on Bionic Woman. I guess I just wasn’t in the mood for it. But Pushing Daisies, which is on at 8, at wonderful. Possibly my favorite new show. Although Reaper and Life are pretty close behind.

October 11, 2007 at 11:47 amPushing Dasies is going to be the big hit this year, and sadly I’m addicted to Kid Nation.

October 11, 2007 at 11:55 amLove Pushing Daisies, and who wouldn’t want to stare at Gordon Ramsay for an hour? Love him (oh yes, and his show).
Noelle says
October 11, 2007 at 12:11 pmBionic Woman could have been good, but it makes me wish I was watching Battlestar Galactica instead. And I agree, Pushing Daisies is good, but sadly not on at 9, so you can’t watch it and America’s Next Top Model, unless you have one of those recording devices.

October 11, 2007 at 12:45 pmAnother vote for The War. Ken Burns is a genius. I swapped between that and Family Guy – good combo.
Andy freaks out and leaves the room whenever I put on those Discovery Channel shows with the tumors the size of a cantloupe so that was out.
Chag says
October 11, 2007 at 1:25 pmGiven those choices, I’d have to agree with your husband. I watched Weeds instead.
Laura says
October 11, 2007 at 1:51 pmI watched Gossip Girl, which is pretty entertaining. The premise is basically “Pretty in Pink” except it’s in NYC and Molly Ringwald is a dude, Andrew McCarthy is a blonde chick and James Spader is a brunette girl. Whatever happened to Andrew McCarthy anyway?
Momo Fali says
October 11, 2007 at 2:23 pmMy husband was at a hockey game, so I got to watch cutie-pie Nate Berkus on a DVR’d episode of Oprah. He wants me, even though he “says” he likes men.

October 11, 2007 at 2:54 pmBionic Woman?
Kitchen Nightmares, Supernatural Science, 19th Hole, I Love the 80s, Plastic Surgery: Before & After?
I thought at least HALF of those were the same show.

October 11, 2007 at 2:54 pmuh, my husband’s the same way. if it’s not sex, drugs or violence (or sports) he’s not interested…

October 11, 2007 at 3:32 pmBossy,
Close your eyes & imagine a certain pregnant former lawyer w/a southern accent impatiently and sarcastically saying:
“Hel-lo people? I mean, do I have to come over there and reach for the re-mote myself?! I mean come on. What is with Bossy’s huzband now?!”
When all else fails, there’s always Nancy Grace.

October 11, 2007 at 5:30 pmWho needs to watch TV when there’s BOSSY’s blog?
maize says
October 11, 2007 at 5:59 pmActually, I’m more intrigued with watching the ads that pop up on Bossy’s blog when she posts certain words like “colon” than what’s on tv. Exactly how does DUAL ACTION colon cleanse work? It’s got me stumped… fer sure.

October 11, 2007 at 6:05 pmI said the same thing last night and was in a total funk. Nothing on tv. Then I found VH1’s I love the 80’s and was insta-happy. Cuz that’s what reminiscing about Spenser, For Hire does.

October 11, 2007 at 6:09 pmI watch “Kitchen Nightmares”. Gives me nostalgia for the good ol’ days when I cooked in Fine Dining.

October 15, 2007 at 10:22 pmI didn’t want to like Bionic Woman, but I do, because Katee Sackhoff from Battlestar Galactica is on it. Pushing Daisies is bizarre, but I find myself compelled to watch anyway. Bossy’s husband could have always helped her out by going through her blogroll or something, sheesh!
