Late Monday afternoon the nice man at Saturn came to collect Bossy’s Baby Vue and drop off a new car. Bossy had grown quite attached to her Baby Vue since it was the only constant in her days on the road, and she suffered from plenty of anxiety watching it drive off toward the Dallas skyline.
Now Bossy is driving the Saturn Outlook. You know how much Bossy hates change? She hates it worse than finding out that her OnStar buttons are now located on her rearview mirror instead of the roof console; she hates change worse than discovering her windshield wiper controls are now on the left instead of the right. And so naturally it should come as no surprise to learn that Bossy loves her Saturn Outlook!
And OK, she feels like a bit of a cowboy driving it. All she needs is some cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and a cowboy belt. And some cows.
Last night Bossy had a really fun get-together with her Texas posse, which includes her and her and her and her and her and her and her and her:
As you can see, Bossy is sleeping on her feet. But she was having an excellent dream, and she will now describe it—because if you’ve never told someone about your dreams you should, because people love it when you do that: Bossy dreamed she was hanging out with a bunch of cool Texas women drinking margaritas and eating enchiladas—and that dream apparently put a smile on Bossy’s face.
You’ll be happy to know a few hours after this photo was taken, Bossy fell into a satisfying night’s sleep. When you were a kid, did you ever think it was feasible to curl up on a fluffy cloud? Well Bossy is here to tell you it is entirely possible, and that cloud is dressed as a king size bed, and it lives in a house in Dallas.

April 1, 2008 at 3:33 pmIt was so fun to meet you. I had a similar dream, but we were eating fajitas. And I wasn’t so much on a cloudy king-size bed as it was a queen-size bed. And it was in my home, not someone else’s home.
And there weren’t nearly enough margaritas in my dream, either, though I doubt there ever are. I knew I should have gone back for more.
If there is one thing I learned, it is: GO WITH YOUR INSTINCTS. And my instincts say: MORE MARGARITAS.

April 1, 2008 at 4:46 pmChirky invited me to tag along with you gals and while I am sure it would have been fun I think things might have got a little too wild what with all the margaritas and tequila shots and double grey goose martini’s we would have been drinking!

Doesn’t add up. Be safe! 🙂

April 3, 2008 at 9:01 amHope you see this – it is late after all. Can you answer this question in your new VUE review: Would Bossy’s Dog fit in the cargo area? See, I have an older VUE and two tall dogs (though, not as tall as Bossy’s adorable Dane). They fit well in the old VUE but the new VUE has a slopey back that looks all ‘crunched’. I am filled with sadness (almost typed sandness which would be scratchy and bad) for the loss of my beloved car.
Thank you!
