Late Monday afternoon the nice man at Saturn came to collect Bossy’s Baby Vue and drop off a new car. Bossy had grown quite attached to her Baby Vue since it was the only constant in her days on the road, and she suffered from plenty of anxiety watching it drive off toward the Dallas skyline.
Now Bossy is driving the Saturn Outlook. You know how much Bossy hates change? She hates it worse than finding out that her OnStar buttons are now located on her rearview mirror instead of the roof console; she hates change worse than discovering her windshield wiper controls are now on the left instead of the right. And so naturally it should come as no surprise to learn that Bossy loves her Saturn Outlook!
And OK, she feels like a bit of a cowboy driving it. All she needs is some cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and a cowboy belt. And some cows.
Last night Bossy had a really fun get-together with her Texas posse, which includes her and her and her and her and her and her and her and her:
As you can see, Bossy is sleeping on her feet. But she was having an excellent dream, and she will now describe it—because if you’ve never told someone about your dreams you should, because people love it when you do that: Bossy dreamed she was hanging out with a bunch of cool Texas women drinking margaritas and eating enchiladas—and that dream apparently put a smile on Bossy’s face.
You’ll be happy to know a few hours after this photo was taken, Bossy fell into a satisfying night’s sleep. When you were a kid, did you ever think it was feasible to curl up on a fluffy cloud? Well Bossy is here to tell you it is entirely possible, and that cloud is dressed as a king size bed, and it lives in a house in Dallas.
Dallas. Cowboys. Could it get any better than this?
It was so fun to meet you. I had a similar dream, but we were eating fajitas. And I wasn’t so much on a cloudy king-size bed as it was a queen-size bed. And it was in my home, not someone else’s home.
And there weren’t nearly enough margaritas in my dream, either, though I doubt there ever are. I knew I should have gone back for more.
If there is one thing I learned, it is: GO WITH YOUR INSTINCTS. And my instincts say: MORE MARGARITAS.
Aw! That’s the cutest car! And, those are the cutest women!
But, what we really want to know is, who shot J.R.?
margaritas … mmmmm …
The stars at night are big and bright
* CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP* Deep in the heart of TEXAS.
Lucky folks in Dallas, they are. Even if you never actually got there.
Sorry I missed you! But I’m glad you got some margrita. I hope it was awesomely huge.
Awwww … Bossy is way close to my house! Closer than I am, in fact (I’m not there now). Hope you enjoyed Dallas — it’s kind of a weird place.
I want that woman’s T-shirt, “I Love Bossy” & that other woman’s dog.
A great time was had by all! That was some yummy food and margs. The cup cakes weren’t too bad either!! ;o)
Sophie the Yorkie says “I miss Bossy.”
The new Bossy mobile is CUTE CUTE CUTE!
I’m so glad you got some well-deserved rest.
Living vicariously through your travels,

When is Saturn going to drop off a new vehicle for ME?
Love, love, LOVE Dallas. Probably going to visit some time next month.
Chirky invited me to tag along with you gals and while I am sure it would have been fun I think things might have got a little too wild what with all the margaritas and tequila shots and double grey goose martini’s we would have been drinking!
That car doesn’t look nearly as much fun!
Wait. There were tequila shots and double Grey Goose martinis?
HOW COME NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THOSE?
I see Biddy….all y’all look gorgeous. Have some sweet tea for me while you’re down there okay?
Your trip sounds like soooo much fun. Enjoy, soon you’ll be home and back to the old drill. And sleep whenever I can sleep for 4 or more hours in a row and dream…thats even better….so enjoy the zzz’s while you can..
Be safe and have fun..

Here we have a woman who clearly DOESN’T LIKE CHANGE (from what I hear) sleeping in a different bed every night for over a month (or living room, or restaurant, or Saturn, or wherever else she can catch some ZZZZZZZs).
Doesn’t add up. Be safe!
I’m gonna have to dissent here. Sure, the Vue is cute, but it looks like I could crush it between my burly pecs. You should be driving a truck, woman.
I hope you are not too tired of margaritas by the time you make your way out west. Happy Trails!
your bed did look heavenly. i may have to go back so i can experience the cloudyness of it. the green couch was actually really comfy to sleep on too!
i had SO. MUCH. FUN. hanging out with you and all the other girls!! OH, and Kelly was right, you could seriously be a cat burglar cause our host and i never heard you leave!
did you take a cupcake with you??
The San Diego contingent previewed your SD digs last night and pronounced them excellent!
you know why i like texas so much?
one state closer to california.
breathe in. breathe out.
i told someone you were coming next week, and just raised an eyebrow and told me he hoped i wouldn’t pass out.
*me too*
Thanks for selecting a photo where my eyes are shut. I’d be mad, but I guess it’s o.k. since yours are too… we had the BEST time. Thanks for the memories.
Not to be all “bossy” or anything…but seriously bloggers… update your websites to tell me how fabulous your day with Bossy was so that i want to “bookmark” you! I clicked on a couple of you and “nada”. Use this opportunity like a Superbowl ad ; )
I’d like my own cloud.
So glad you are having such a good time – keep adapting to change – change is good. Obama is on day five of the road to change. Guess you heard where he’ll be on day six! Maybe the new saturn can take you back to the future?
Dude – what about BBQ? You better stop at a Bill Miller’s or something. You can get the sweet tea there, too.
I saw that same care with a hot blonde in front of my house a week or so ago…hmmm… smooches!!
Go Bossy! You sure bit of a lot of miles for a solo road trip, dintcha? So far from your first stop in DC, yet so many more miles to go. Go, buy some No-Doz and floor it! Woooo!
mr lootiatto (aka bossys mom) thought that was Bossy in the blue saturn….
no kidding…so much talk of edema…
That Texas humidity is doin’ a fine job on those curls.
Or was it the tequila?
Oh my, Bossy. It seems while you’ve been out on the road, your dh’s stalker decided to make it her time to make her move. Please tell me that both you and John are okay. It’s hard to know what to believe from “the press.”

(meant to post here, not there)
you did not eat at BOB’s??? what the?
Ok enchiladas are an acceptable substitute
I hate change too. Can I have an enchilada? please. ?
In the middle of a road trip.
I know yer busy.
But I’ve tagged you with an unbelievably cute (not so much) really important (still not so much)
another naff award.
Not my fault
Blame Sparx
All down her so it is.
This just in…
If Bossy is coming to a town anywhere near you, GO. SEE. HER.
It’s not too late. (well, unless it is…)
Seriously.
Do it.
I am so jealous of your road trip…getting to meet all your blogging friends. I want to do the same thing in Europe…got any hints! (Like take a chauffeur perhaps…)
Hurray for sleep! I hate change to so I think I would be a little bit irked by something like, oh, the interior is charcoal instead of black. Continue driving safely!
Welcome to Texas! Hope the weather wasn’t too bad while you were here. Margaritas and enchiladas – nice combo!
I am so glad to hear that you got some rest! The new car is very cute. Love those Saturns! Be safe!
Since Saturn is sponsoring this, are you doing a blog on their pages or someplace else? How about reporting on the mileage you are getting with these green vehicles? (us technical people want to know)
Keep on rollin’, Bossy. Even in your sleep.
So now you’re on your way to Houston, right?
The nice man from Saturn looks like Larry Bud Melman! I am so enjoying reading about your travels
Are you really on your way to Pawhuska, Oklahoma to see Pioneer Woman? That’s what one of my blog buddies told me. I hope so – I want to see pictures!!
Okay, so I always tell people my dreams, I’m soooo that person. Ugh, people hate me for that. I’m all, last night, I dreamt that you were a unicorn and all me teeth fell out–Oh, and you kissed Samuel L. Jackson with the tongue…
So is Bossy zigging and zagging? Because there is a whole lot more to Texas than Dallas.
It’s a good thing Bossy is traveling from East to West, it gives her three free hours of time.
I love Dallas and fluffy clouds and that you slept!
We are so going to have to have a “Boys night out with Bossy” in NYC to give equal time to the XY chromosome contingent.
Hope you see this – it is late after all. Can you answer this question in your new VUE review: Would Bossy’s Dog fit in the cargo area? See, I have an older VUE and two tall dogs (though, not as tall as Bossy’s adorable Dane). They fit well in the old VUE but the new VUE has a slopey back that looks all ‘crunched’. I am filled with sadness (almost typed sandness which would be scratchy and bad) for the loss of my beloved car.
Thank you!
Durr… Third paragraph…. shoulda known…
I HATE that I missed you in Dallas. HOW did that happen. I am off to weep.
However, you gave me the great gift of seeing who else is here.
Ladies of Dallas, we SO need to get together!
